Choosing a style
VICTORIAN
A piece of period perfection
One of the most frequently seen styles of conservatories,
the Victorian can be distinguished by its traditional
front elevation, comprising of 3 or 5 facets
and use of ornate detailing along the centre of the roof.
Inspired by an era when Gothic style architecture, complete
with ornate cresting and finals, saw a romantic renaissance,
these conservatories are as versatile as they are engaging.
In a large garden or small patio area, this style will
add charater and charm.
LEAN-TO
Simple and minimalist
Sunroom conservatories are usually rectangular
with a low pitch roof. They are the ideal choice
for bungalows or other homes where there may be a
height restriction. The clean, understated line of
the lean-to (also known as the Mediterranean sunroom)
complements both the traditional and contemporary
style of home and is a popular choice.
GEORGIAN
A union of space and style
The Georgian (also referred to as Edwardian) style of
conservatory is similar to the Victorian. The main difference
is that they are rectangular on plan maximising the use of
internal space.
GABLE
A touch of splendour
Gable conservatories are recognisable from their rectangular
floor plan. A major feature of this style is that the front
elevation windows extend to meet the roofs apex. This helps
to maximise the feeling of light and space and will add a
feeling of grandeur to any home.
COMBINATION
From function to impressive flexibility
Combination conservatories offer you an increased flexibility
by combining a variety of styles, or by adapting an existing
style so that it can be used in the shape of a ‘P’, a ‘T’ or
a ‘B’ and will allow you to comfortably combine dining with
that extra area to relax in or even a playroom with lounge and
TV area. The combination truly offers limitless ways to enjoy
such a versatile area of space.
